“Holly has been instrumental in making the Bradwell Conspiracy. Her combo responsibility of Art Direction and Narrative Design meant that she was involved in every aspect of the game: From Design, Story, Characters, World Building, Writing, Art creation and Art Direction.
Holly and I worked closely together on the Narrative Design for the game, from initial story structure, world-building, writing… We both wanted to create a believable, rich and interesting world that had enough room for the Player to explore and engage with. As a game director and writer, it’s a special moment when you find a creative partner who is on the same wavelength: We were able to split up the narrative design work amongst each other and it still felt all coherent, believable and cohesive.
Holly’s Art Direction skills also enabled her to take the Narrative Design and feed it into the art direction, art feedback and even her own art asset creation. This is why art and narrative gel so well together in The Bradwell Conspiracy.
Holly has also done meticulous research for the narrative, has written character profiles, timelines, dialogue, detailed story lore and background, etc.
It was her first role as Art Director and Narrative Designer combo on a game, from start to finish, taking on a huge responsibility and also having to look after and lead the art team!
